Alpine tours and ski tour specialist

Virgin mountain slopes, strange rock faces and ice peaks, wild glaciers, seclusion. The landscape in Ötztal is indescribable and the summits are so close. Just a few steps and you are way up high. And you know, you will be making the first lines in the unspoilt firn or deep snow.

Ski tourers – and anyone who wants to become one – will come across an almost endless winter snow white playground in the mountains in the lower Ötztal area, with the ‘Hautes Routes’ of the Eastern Alps. Tip - the ‘Venter Runde’ – a genuine ski tour classic heading to the most attractive three-thousand

Expert tip – altitude tours

Mario Schöpf

When it comes to mountain sportswear, the layering principle is the ultimate. For Alpine tours and winter Alpine tours in particular, when the weather conditions, temperature and your physical expenditure is constantly changing. For active phases, and during hot temperatures often only a mid, less warm layer (= 1st layer) is needed.

In passive phases, or when the temperature is lower up high, a warm mid layer (= 2nd layer) is needed, preferably Primaloft or down clothing. You should always have a robust and breathable hard-shell jacket (= 3rd layer). It provides protection against the wind and weather and also from rubbing from your rucksack and climbing belt.
