How often tuning is to be carried out depends on the snow conditions, the terrain and your own performance level. More extensive damage to the surface or edges should be taken care of straight away. We recommend tuning:
- Before first use in the winter
To remove any rust on the edges and prepare the surfaces for the respective snow conditions - After around 6 days on the piste
Repair any small or more extensive areas of damage to the edges which might impair the running properties or stability of the skis or board - At the end of the season
To get your skis "fit for summer". An extra application of wax will protect the edges from corrosion
Expert tip - ski service

Make sure you regularly sharpen your edges to ensure good grip on hard slopes – an angle of 88 to 90 degrees is ideal for precise control. You should also adjust the base wax: hard wax is better suited to cold, icy conditions, while softer wax is better for warmer snow conditions.
Check regularly that the base has no deep scratches and have any holes filled in if necessary. A well-maintained ski not only performs better, but also reduces the risk of injury.
