The Custom Fitting Process

Custom-made ski boots offer optimal comfort and the highest performance on the slopes. The precise adjustment to the individual foot shape avoids pressure points and pain that often arise from poorly fitting standard boots. Custom-made ski boots also guarantee better power transmission, which increases control and safety when skiing.

Fitting Appointment – Analysis, Model Selection and Footbed

At the fitting appointment, everything starts with a precise measurement and analysis of your feet. Shape, volume, and pressure zones are recorded using state-of-the-art measurement technology and digital scanning, allowing us to create a detailed profile of your foot. Based on this data, we jointly select the right ski boot shell and the ideal footbed – perfectly matched to your skiing style, foot shape, and skill level.

After the measurement and analysis, we begin working on the ski boot shell. During this time, our workshop creates your individual wooden last, crafted precisely to match the shape of your foot. Using this last, the shell is accurately adjusted to your personal requirements. At the same time, the appropriate liner is assembled with the components you’ve selected.
This process ensures that, right from your fitting appointment, we lay the foundation for a ski boot that fits perfectly, offers maximum comfort, and delivers top performance on the slopes.

Injection Liners

During the molding session, your liner is perfectly shaped to your feet through a foam-injection process. First, sensitive areas of your foot are protected with specially cut pads to prevent pressure points later. A toe cap is placed over your toes as a placeholder before the foaming begins.

The foaming is done while standing and takes about 15 minutes. After an additional 10 minutes of curing, the ski boot can be removed. Over the next 12 hours, the boot fully hardens at room temperature and is ready for use.

The result is a custom-fitted liner that conforms precisely to your foot, providing maximum comfort, optimal support, and precise control on the slopes.

Zipfit liner

As an alternative to injection liners, a ZipFit liner can also be custom-fitted. Customized ZipFit liners are specifically designed to provide the same high level of comfort and perfect fit.

First, the liner is heated so that the form-stable cork material can optimally adapt to your foot. Then the liner is placed into the shell along with your foot, shaping the instep, ankle, and calf areas precisely. Additional cork can be added if needed for even better support.

The result is a durable, custom-fitted liner that ensures a perfect fit, secure support, and maximum control on the slopes.
