In 5 steps to the perfect shoe
Would you like a ski boot that is precisely tailored to your needs? Congratulations: to the individually adapted custom model. The ski boot is the important link between the rider and the slope. That's why no compromises should be made. It's all about the perfect fit, good performance and comfort. In five steps we explain the way to the perfectly fitting ski boot.
1. Precise Foot Measurement and Analysis
The foot measurement is the first step in finding the perfect ski boot. Through precise foot measurement using a 3D scanner and pressure plates, we analyze individual needs and anatomical characteristics to determine the optimal last shape, optimize the fit, and ensure maximum comfort. Various parameters such as length, width, arch height, pressure distribution, and calf circumference are taken into account.
The collected data serves as the basis for selecting the right ski boot and helps minimize potential issues such as pressure points, blisters, or joint strain.
2. Custom-Made Insole
Without suitable insoles, your feet become tired and tend to collapse inward. In addition, without proper support, your feet become unstable and painful. Custom-made insoles provide the necessary comfort and power transmission.
The advantage of custom-made insoles lies not only in their perfect fit but also in their targeted support of specific areas and the arch of the foot. This customization not only improves wearing comfort but also enhances stability and control on the skis.
3. Customized Inner Liners
The inner liner must fit the anatomy of your feet perfectly and provide optimal thermal insulation. Modern inner liners are often made from special, moldable materials such as thermoformable foam or memory foam, which adapt to the contours of the foot when heated. This allows for a customized fit to the foot shape, reducing pressure points and increasing overall wearing comfort.
We recommend foamed inner liners, also known as injected liners, to maximize support and precision, or when there are issues with ski boot shells being too wide.
4. Modern Shell Technology
Many modern ski boots feature customizable shells that can adapt to the individual shape of the foot. This not only improves wearing comfort but also optimizes the power transfer from your feet to the skis.
A standard boot is not suitable for all foot types – sometimes it is necessary to reshape certain areas of the shell to achieve a better fit. This is made possible by using lightweight yet durable materials. As a result, the ski boots can be molded without compromising performance.
5. Individual Customization
Every foot is different, which is why we take the time during each consultation and boot fitting to address your individual needs.
Whether foamed inner liners, a customized shell, or the right insoles are best for you is determined based on an on-site foot analysis in our boot fitting shops in Sölden.
